This error indicates that in the wireless range of your PC, already another wireless ad-hoc network exists with same SSID (but with different configuration than yours).
If the operating system and the wireless card drivers does not support virtualization, then the hotspot is created as an ad-hoc wireless network. The wireless ad-hoc network is an insfrastructure less network or peer-to-peer network. In such network, if one node falls, the network between existing nodes will be re-arranged automatically.
If you have created a hotspot in ad-hoc mode and connected multiple devices to it and stopped the hotspot without disconnecting the other devices. This will cause the connected devices to re-form a ad-hoc network between themselves.
In such case, as mentioned in the message, change the SSID and create a new network and re-connect the peers to the new SSID.
